What are your rates?

Our rates vary depending on size and type of storage.  Please call us at (940) 433-2797 for rates and available sizes, or fill out our Online Form.

Do I need insurance?

You may carry your own insurance (check your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy to see if you are already covered) or apply for insurance coverage from a company that specializes in self-storage insurance.  Insurance is the tenant’s responsibility.

Do you give me a key?

You (the tenant) are responsible for providing your own lock and keeping the keys so that you are the only one with access to the unit.  We HIGHLY recommend a disc lock or a padlock with a thick shackle.

Who is able to access my storage unit?

You can give anyone you wish access to your storage unit.  It is your (the tenant’s) responsibility to provide those with access to the unit a key and the access code for the gate.  Rock Island Storage management and employees will not grant access to your unit to anyone who is not on the rental agreement, nor do the management or employees have access to your unit.  We do this to increase the security and safety of our storage facility.

How can I make a payment?

You will need to visit the facility office to lease your unit and make the initial payment.  After that, you may call to make payments by credit or debit card.

We can also set up your account to automatically deduct the rent on the 1st of every month from your debit/credit card through “EasyPay”.  Fill out and submit the Authorization for Automatic Credit/Debit Card Charges form and bring or mail it in to our office at the address below, or submit it online to authorize automatic charges to your account.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, money order, Debit/Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express).  We recommend that you enroll in our “Easy Pay” payment plan to ensure you don’t forget to pay  your storage bill and to avoid unnecessary fees.


I only need storage for a few days, can I rent by the day?

The minimum rental period is 1 month.  You may use the space for a few days, a few weeks, or all month; however, we are unable to offer refunds for early move-outs.

If you are still occupying the unit as of the 1st of the month, you will be charged for a full month.

Can I change the size of my storage unit?

Yes.  If you ever need more or less space, contact our office staff at your facility and they will help accommodate your needs.

How do I cancel my lease?

Please provide us with a 10-day notice that you will be vacating your storage unit.  The storage unit must be vacated completely and cleaned out no later than the last day of the month.  You will be charged a full month’s rent for occupancy of the unit as of the 1st of each month.

How long will it take to complete my transaction on move-in day?

The entire move-in process should take less than 15 to 20 minutes.  Please keep in mind that this time could vary depending on whether there are other customers ahead of you at the time you arrive.
